Unjabbed.net was free to use from March 2023 to July 2024. After 15 months, we decided this policy was counterproductive as we were paying for advertising, but the donations we received didn’t even cover the costs of website hosting.

We have now paid for advertising on four different websites. One advert gave phenomenal results. We had over 300 registrations in a matter of a few days and the traffic to our website went up temporarily by a factor of 25. Only a certain percentage of those new members paid for an annual subscription though. Pretty much the new subscriptions made in the first weeks only paid for the cost of the advert. The lasting benefit is that even some time after the advert, the number of daily visitors to our site has doubled.

Due to being a free website for 15 months meant that all our adverts on another news site generated practically no revenue at all.

Our latest advert is bringing in new members at a conservative rate. Most of those members create a profile here with photos and a description, but do not purchase a subscription.

Last year we paid for one advert on a major social media site. They charged for advert impressions, rather than clicks. This meant that even if our advert appeared on a user’s screen for a fraction of a second while it was being rapidly scrolled past it still counted as chargeable. Our number of daily registrations did not increase during this campaign.

The take-home message is, that if the right medium is chosen, paid advertising can bring in large numbers of new members in a short period of time. Creating an account here is only a half-measure. Ideally you should pay for an annual membership. We do not store financial details on this website and you will never be automatically billed again. If you can afford it, please donate money to us as well. If we have no funds, we cannot pay for advertising, which means we only get a slow trickle of new users. At the current rate of paid subscriptions it will take months before we have the money to pay for more adverts on alternative news websites.

A lot of people don’t know that websites for unvaccinated people exist or the right search terms to use to find them. We have found the Russian search engine Yandex rates us far more highly for the search term unvaccinated dating than its Western equivalents. So unless a person knows to search using the keyword unjabbed they won’t find us. This would explain why our adverts in alternative newspapers and websites bring in hundreds of new members.

Mainstream websites and apps that are free may have at least one of the following characteristics.

    • They receive money from government, billionaires, advertising and the stock market (this means your pension funds).
    • Some end-to-end encrypted apps store backups of your messages, which are encrypted with the company’s key. Even if you turn backups off, all your contacts have to do the same otherwise it won’t work.
    • They might tell the truth, but it will only be in certain areas. Posts will be shadow banned and only shown to small numbers of people. They will stiffle the growth of real alternative websites.
    • Consider the cost of censorship in past years and how it relates to the 70 to 80% vaccination percentages. Free turns out to be the most expensive option of them all if you are looking for an unvaccinated friend.
    • Smartphone apps can access your phone number, camera, microphone and contact list. Now the company knows your phone number (and real identity) along with everyone you are in contact with.

For the past year we have written to several alternative media sites and asked them to mention our website. We told them although we were a free site, we could still pay them a small amount of money if they mentioned us. (Since August 2024, we have started to charge for messaging.) Most of them did not reply to us. One person suggested that many alternative news sites are not really that alternative. The other ones are professional and will not recommend a site they are unfamiliar with. Birth rates have declined and our site is a useful tool.

Last year, we also tried to place adverts on platforms hosted by two major tech platforms. Both of them closed our account down the same day. This was expected.

Yesterday we started to place adverts on Twitter/X for advertisements in the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Sweden. The adverts result in an increased number of visitors, but the number of new registrations are far lower and the number of paid subscriptions still zero. The advantage of Twitter as an advertising platform is that it offers a wide range of countries to target with adverts.

Big money will not fund meeting sites for the unvaccinated. Although we can afford to place adverts it will be for a short period of time. We cannot emphasis enough just making an account on this website is not enough. Our annual subscription fee is lower than most other sites in our genre.

We get a few new members each day from search engine traffic, but as we have seen if the right medium for adverts is chosen, we can get hundreds of new members in a matter of days. There is a real problem here. The income from subscriptions and donations is low. The cost of advertising is high. It seems there is no easy way to establish a usable dating site (with low costs) in a reasonable period of time. Of course if every member here donated $5 to $10 it would make our goals more achievable.

It would be helpful if people could tell us the website addresses and Twitter/X handles of alternative news sites, so we know who to approach about publicising our site.

Results After Running Adverts On Twitter For Four Days

From 14th to 17th September 2024 we have been running adverts for this website on Twitter/X.com. We targeted the countries UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Portugal, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden and Italy. Of course we have very limited funds and so put a maximum limit of spending $5 per day per country. We expect to terminate our adverts soon as we can’t afford this expense.

Usually we don’t get people registering from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, France and Germany and so we are assuming all the recent registrations from those countries came from our Twitter adverts.

If we divide the number of new users by the total cost of advertising, it doesn’t seem expensive. It is good Twitter offers a way to target many different countries on one platform. The number of unique visitors per day increased almost five fold today.

It is not all good news. In fact there is a substantial problem. Members have written to us complaining of blank profiles (no photographs, no written descriptions). In the last few days a fair amount of new members have left their descriptions empty. We understand people are concerned about their privacy, but it should be possible to write something about yourself without revealing any specifics. People can use a photo of themselves wearing sunglasses and a hat. As we have suggested many times people can also use photos of local scenery such a churches, trees, flowers etc.

It is possible that in a few months more people will register with this website and from the same cities as the members who registered in the last few days. It is unlikely they will bother to send a message to someone who has not provided any information about themselves.

We are paying for advertising. This is help others, but the worth of it is being eroded.
