At the time of writing our website is 15 months old. We have paid for three adverts in the Canadian newspaper Druthers and the newspaper gave us two free adverts. We published one article in UK newspaper The Light. We have a reasonable ranking for search terms incorporating the word “unjabbed”. Our search ranking for “unvaccinated dating sites” is less good but still a source of traffic. We paid for one advert on a major social media site. They charged us for “impressions” rather than “clicks” and our number of daily registrations did not change 🙁
We have had a quick look at other websites in the same field as ourselves. They are much younger than our site, but they have far more members in the locales we looked at. Some of them are associated with the same large social media applications who censored information back in 2020 and 2021. The same social media website that deleted groups for using the carrot emoji in place of the word “vaccine”.
In the past week we have start to charge a small annual fee for sending messages. Our annual fee is less than some other websites charge for a single month. We will never automatically bill again after the subscription expires. Part of the reason for starting this website is to provide a low-cost alternative. Replying to messages sent by other members is still free.
If we continued to be a free website our presence here would not be sustainable. If there is any money left over from web hosting, we can use it to advertise on alternative or “truther” websites. If the right medium is chosen, paid adverts can bring in hundreds of new users. This contrasts with the trickle of two to three new users a day from Internet searches and social media posts. The whole point of this website is to get to the point where there are enough people such that you can find someone like-minded nearby.
