This site was set up for two reasons.

    1. To be cheaper than other dating sites, which can become very expensive, especially those selling bundles of 3 messages. As we did not involve outside technical people in publishing this website, we do not have large overheads to recoup from members. Online advertising is another matter however.
    2. It is difficult to ask people on dating sites whether they received a covid vaccine or not. Asking such a question may result in a rebuke or account deletion.

It should be obvious from all the advertisements listed on the English translation of our blog that we are a decent site trying to do the best for our members.

As our site is considerably cheaper than other sites in our genre, we expect our members to act with discernment. Raising money for more advertisements is a limiting factor for us. It does work some of the time. We raised our numbers substantially for the countries of Sweden, the Netherlands and Canada by advertising.

Even for the best represented countries on this site, the income from memberships barely pays for the advertising we have carried out. This does effect the time and resources we have available.

A couple of years ago, our members told us our site was too slow and we needed more members. We responded by moving to an more expensive webserver and paying for advertising. This was one of the reasons we stopped being a free site. From that moment onwards, we are constantly told by 5% of new members our site should be free. This is now extremely tiresome.

Since the middle of last year, fake profiles are created on our site every week. Sometimes these people take a break and weeks go by without any fake profiles. We expect the same is happening on every other dating site. With the help of a couple of members here we deleted – we hope – most of them. We rigorously delete new accounts we think are fake. Sometimes we make mistakes by deleting genuine accounts. Fake profiles waste a small amount of our time, but far more of our mental energy.

Scammers often lie about their location. It is easy to prove your account is not fake. Just take a photo in your city (not near your home) and have a piece of paper with today’s date in the frame. Or use a recent local newspaper. All new photos uploaded to this site enter our moderation queue. You can also upload a live selfie photo using https://unjabbed.net/photo-verification/

All photos uploaded using this tool we be deleted immediately after viewing by us and will not be shown to other members.

If you pay for membership or use our photo verification tool, your profile will receive a grey shield Certified Member mark in its top-right hand corner. This will show other members your profile is more likely to be genuine.

If you written description only contains fluff, filler and nice sounding words and looks like it could have been written by AI, we might delete your account.

If there are any decent people here who have paid for membership for one year and want a free or discounted extension of their membership, please contact us.

The only purpose of this site is to facilitate personal connections and preferably for people located in the same region. It is not to advertise businesses, commercial sites and monetized social media accounts. We shouldn’t need to say this.

TLDR: We delete fake profiles to the best of our abilities. We do make mistakes and delete genuine accounts. If you follow the advice given here you can avoid having your real account deleted.
