oh well…

One of the reasons for starting this website was to try to create something less expensive than mainstream dating sites. For the first 17 months of our existence our site had free messaging. Now only replying to messages sent to you by other members is free.

At the time of writing we charge for a whole year what conventional sites charge for a single month. (It is still free to create an account here and search for other members by country, region and city.) We have over 5000 members on this site from all around the world, but mainly the USA, Canada, Sweden and Western Europe.

You would think this would be of benefit to everyone and people would try to support us.

In the last few weeks, we have been intermittently targeting countries such as Australia, Italy, Belgium and Denmark with limited advertising. These countries are not well represented on our site. We are seeing again and again, people from those countries register with our site, delete their accounts soon afterwards and give as their reason they haven’t found what they are looking for.

It is a pity people can’t be more patient. Obviously people won’t join a site unless they see lots of people from their country already here.

It is important people have a headline of at least 8 characters, a description of at least 40 characters and a photograph. The photograph can be of anything, such as flowers, trees and churches. This is ensure their profile gets shown under New Entrants so everybody in their country can see them without having to do a search.
